There will be rallying, racing, food, laughter and lovely boats over the bank holiday weekend. We welcome all gaffers to join us, whether young or old, in boats young, old, large, small, from near, or far… Or just those interested in gaffers.

Yarmouth Sea Songs Festival
Once again, our Yarmouth Gaffers Regatta coincides with the Yarmouth Sea Songs Festival ensuring a busy weekend all round, both on and off the water.
Commemorative polo shirt
We have commissioned a special commemorative polo shirt. Every boat gets one at the bargain price of £5, including your boat name. You can order as many others as you want at full price.

Friday
The fleet arrives.
We’ll start with a pontoon party in the friendly atmosphere of Yarmouth harbour.
The Sea Songs Festival should be in full swing.

Saturday
Our main race is planned for 13:30 start outside the harbour. Everyone is welcome, whatever your level of experience.
On shore activities are planned for those not looking to race, or spectate. Around Yarmouth, or take the bus to Alum Bay or Osborne House.
Pre-dinner drinks, to welcome new members and visitors.
Main event dinner, supported by local band ‘The Accelerators’.
Sunday
The Gaffel Race is a unique mixture of sailing, navigation and planning skills. Almost certainly different from any other race you have been in, but quite straight forward once we have explained it.
Rowing on the River Yar.
Catered BBQ and prize giving.

Monday
The fleet leaves, hopefully after meeting up for a good sailors’ breakfast.
Of course you can spend as much of your time as you like simply hanging round the boats and harbour, seeing your friends and quietly enjoying one of the highlights of the Solent.
